I started my entrepreneurial journey in 1993 in my mother’s kitchen. I scraped together just a few thousand pounds and engaged with a Government Startup scheme. I had a passion for cooking, and a drive and determination for success. With a lot of hard work (and the help of many talented individuals), one of the UK’s most creative event and hospitality companies was created.

As co-founder and Executive Director of Portfolio Catering and subsequently Heritage Portfolio, I led three decades of strategic growth, acquisitions and mergers, with a focus on quality and delivery and superior customer experience. I used my experience and knowledge to build and coach winning teams, imbed a culture of innovation and creativity and create long-lasting customer relationships, delivering growth and commercial value whether directly on the P&L or through building brand equity and releasing it through an exit strategy.

In 2013 we were granted a Royal Warrant as “Supplier of Catering Services to Her Majesty the Queen”. We were one of only three companies in the UK and the only company in Scotland to hold this recognition. Something of which everyone in the team was deeply proud.

In 2019 I was invited to join the Sodexo Live! Senior Executive Team responsible for the UK&I business (which included Heritage Portfolio). In addition I headed up the Cultural Destination business for Sodexo Live!
